Outside of our wild-harvested herb selections, we further choose ingredients based on Authentic Area Medicinal Material (Daodi) principles, sourcing herbs from traditional regions known for their ideal climate, soil, and growing conditions. Because these authentic growing regions span different parts of China and are supplied through multiple certified farms, our cultivated herbs are certified organic according to Australian, USA, or European standards depending on the source region and certification pathway. All herbs are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilisers. This combination of certified organic sourcing, Daodi selection, and wild-harvested herbs ensures exceptional purity, potency, and therapeutic effectiveness in every formula.

Authentic Area Medicinal Materials, also known as Daodi medicinal materials, refer to herbs that are cultivated and harvested in specific geographic regions known for their unique climate, soil, and ecological conditions. These regions are traditionally recognised for producing herbs of the highest quality due to their optimal growing environments, as well as their refined cultivation, harvesting, and processing methods. As a result, these herbs are generally stronger in therapeutic action, have more robust and distinct flavours, and deliver more consistent and effective clinical function compared to herbs grown outside these traditional areas.

All of our herbs are third-party tested by Eurofins, an internationally recognised laboratory. Each batch undergoes comprehensive safety and quality testing, including over 550 individual pesticide residue screens across GC-MS and LC-MS/MS methods, along with full heavy metal analysis for arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and lead using ICP-MS testing.

This means each batch is screened against hundreds of potential contaminants to ensure nothing harmful is present, with results consistently showing levels below detection or below quantification limits.
